  1. I strongly agree with your remarks on the benefits to the internal sense of self when you convince yourself that your opinion is worth sharing.
    What I miss from your presentation is the cultural impact on people’s perception to whether they are empowered to speak up. Malcolm Gladwell shares in Outliers the tragic story of Korean Airlines where the hierarchical structure caused terrible casualties when co-pilots didn’t speak up.
    Although Gladwell’s context is national culture differences, these culture dimensions also exist in organizations where they are a source of diminished creativity and organizational commitment – and reduce joy of living in general.
