Program Details
Week 1
You will track your sleep by answering a few key question each morning in a sleep log.
You will get into a good frame of mind for the process and start to shift negative sleep thoughts to positive ones.
Week 2
You will learn about the pros and cons of taking medication and/or supplements for sleep, and tapering options if you want to come off of them safely.
You will create a personalized sleep schedule based on your data from week 1 that fits your sleep like a glove.
You will learn how to manage your negative thoughts, worries, concerns and emotions as you go through the program.
Week 3
You will learn exactly how to respond in your behavior and thinking when you have trouble falling or staying asleep.
You will learn a relaxation skill to help reduce stress during the day so you don’t carry it into your sleep at night.
Week 4
You will adjust your sleep schedule based on how your sleep has progressed and continue to apply the skills you’ve learned.
Week 5
You will learn how to use the relaxation skill to help you fall asleep or get back to sleep if you wake up in the night or early morning.
Week 6
You will adjust your sleep schedule based on how your sleep has progressed and continue to apply the key skills.
Week 7
You will learn to implement key changes to your sleep environment and lifestyle that will strengthen and optimize your sleep over time.
Week 8
You will learn how to prevent relapse so insomnia never comes back and how to maintain healthy sleep for life.

This program has been used successfully by busy professionals, parents with young kids, students, retirees and people from all walks of life.
The only time requirement is watching the video trainings each week. The first three weeks take just 1-2 hours of time per week to watch the trainings. The rest of the weeks require 30-minutes or less. The program is flexible so you can watch when it’s convenient. Applying the skills takes no extra time because you do this during your normal sleep hours.

Every person is different and how long it takes depends on several factors. On average it takes most people 8-20 weeks to get past insomnia and establish a regular pattern of sleep. But many people see progress within the first few weeks.

Yes, insomnia is a medical diagnosis, so you can use your HSA or FSA to pay for the program.

The program has a specific training in Week 2 that goes over medication, supplements, and tapering options if you want to come off of them safely. Though coming off medication is not required for the program. And of course, any medication changes should first be discussed with your doctor.

The success rate for this program is 90% or better when the person is committed, follows and applies the skills consistently, and sticks with it long enough to reach the desired result.
In addition, this program offers a 2.5 hour bonus video in Week 2 on how to manage your thoughts and emotions as you go through the process. This is key for success, and it's not usually included in regular CBT-I.
